Information seeking contribute to adaptive cycles dedicated to improve performance. Performance monitoring contributes in multiple ways to this cycles, and to drive decisions to seek information or more generally to explore. This presentation will describe the potential correlates of such decisions in the midcingulate and lateral frontal cortex, and address the potential overlap or dissociation between feedback monitoring and decisions to explore.
